One of the more seriously formulated vitamin C serums on the market. The 20 percent tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is a lipid-soluble form of vitamin C, which penetrates better than plain ascorbic acid and does not sting or destabilize the way L-ascorbic acid does. Ferulic acid and acetyl zingerone, a super-antioxidant derived from ginger, amplify what the vitamin C can do against photoaging: wrinkles, pigmentation and redness. A multi-weight hyaluronic acid complex keeps skin plump and the finish dewy rather than tacky. The packaging is part of the formulation. Opaque glass with an airless pump keeps light and air off the vitamin C, which is where most C serums fail. Shake before use, apply half a pump to a full pump each morning, and follow with SPF.
